Grand Opening!

Welcome! This is the very first post for the Watermelon Film Productions blog! I will use this blog to keep fans and friends updated on my projects, and also as a vehicle for suggestions and help that I desperately need from those same friends and fans. I will be posting both links to completed projects, and updates on projects in the works so that you readers can leave comments and collaborate to help me move my projects forward.
For my first posting I figure I'd embed some of my previous projects, some of which were from high school, and some that were more recent so you can get an idea of what I've done so far, and once it's finished I will post my "concept trailer" for my next project:

Here's one of my earliest films I made with a high school buddy, taking advantage of some simple editing tricks:

Attempts at using stop motion, I think we did a pretty good job:

Trying to add a little more method (and plot) to our madness, this had to do with our school's annual carnival:

This was just an impromptu filming opportunity that I used to make in the style of 19th century films and music:

This was my experiment in first person camera work, inspired by the video titled "What's in the box?" search for it on you tube after watching this if you want:

The following was my most ambitious project yet as far as ideas and plot. It was made as a parody of those campy 80s safety videos from Chemistry lab classes (the guy from one of them makes a cameo sort of). This involved a full fledged trailer, blooper reel, and posters to announce the "premier," although like all my projects, this was still all shot over the course of only a few hours:
